The challenge

The Covid-19 pandemic made connecting and networking with finance and accounting professionals challenging for the BlackLine sales and marketing team. Since the team could no longer meet buyers at in-person events, they needed new and creative ways to overcome digital fatigue and connect with potential customers.

The solution 

BlackLine wanted to add gifting to both their marketing campaigns and sales outreach to boost brand awareness and drive engagement and partnered with Reachdesk to reach their audience in the EMEA region with personalized eGifts and fun gift bundles.

Seasonal campaigns and games to boost engagement and drive awareness 

The BlackLine marketing team created the Hoppy Christmas game as part of a festive campaign aimed at driving brand awareness, generating buzz on social media, and putting a smile on people’s faces. The game attracted 779 players and was played over 9000 times over a one month period. Twelve randomly selected players received special prizes (including an Amazon Echo) sourced and delivered through Reachdesk. 

BlackLine Hoppy Christmas

After the great success of its Christmas game campaign, BlackLine has also launched their Easter campaign, Bunny Boost with more prizes powered through Reachdesk.

 

Adding eGifts to sales outreach to improve response rates 

The BlackLine BDR team uses gifting to start up new conversations and improve attendance to sales meetings by sending a breakfast box or a coffee voucher to prospects to enjoy before the meeting.
